Honestly, it saps my love of the game - not the Villa, but the game. There is no consistency, no consequences, no will to do things differently, and no voices with any power to call out a corrupt league.

Some transparency about how VAR decides when to freeze the frame, might help dispel the nagging feeling that it’s used as a tool to help nudge results a certain way.
This is exactly the point I'm making. Your talking about one frame which is something like 1/1000th of a second and that makes all the difference between offside or onside. Whoever chooses the exact point at which to freeze it gets to decide on whether it's a goal or not. It's clearly open to bias.

I mean it wasn't offside though. It's fucking shit and Forest are a bunch of ****** for conceding but it was onside
How have you come to that conclusion. Can you tell by watching the replay the exact moment the ball leaves the passing players boot?

That is of course the problem with these skin of the teeth VAR decisions. Oh well, calling agent Grealish tomorrow night.

Spawny scousers.

The Premier League don't want the Sky 6 to break away & help form a SuperLeague. It'll lose billions, so it turns a blind eye.

Yep. Semi automated offsides supposed to dispel all doubt and present the absolute truth.

Trouble is there’s still someone with a mouse flicking the frames back and forth - probably 3 or 4 of which you could argue are the moment the ball leaves the boot.

Typical. Forest much the better team but wayward shooting. So a toenail puts Van Dyke onside while the whole of his body is clearly off. How does that work? Clear as day on the still.

This was a turning point for sure. The Premier League absolutely shat themselves. The offending clubs who tried to break away faced no penalty other than a slap on the wrist. Since then we’ve had PSR (and variants of) introduced) along with VAR, to appease the Sky 6.

Clear as f**k on still image shown, semi automated is not reliable.

Not seen the actual footage, but is there a Sunderland player behind Van Djik or was it one of the two in front of him that they called as playing him onside.

Carragher's nauseating, crowing voice still going on. With Spurs v Arsenal as the 16.30 game, normally they would cut away from the early game about 5 seconds after the final whistle.

Thought so. Not sure why use that picture and state "clear as fuck" then when the forest player is not shown in it.
