I think, as well, most right-minded people would agree that Liverpool and Man City are both massive twats. To come up with a decision that really annoyed both of them was a tremendous effort.

Can't ever remember a match ending like that, but the result is what we wanted.
To be honest, a City defeat, keeping them in and around us, was also pretty good.

That being said, Liverpool have a fairly gentle run over the next half dozen games, but then a very tricky run in, including a visit to VP obvs.

They're going to have to go mega great guns to catch us.

I’d love to have your optimism but I think that ship has sailed mate. We’re looking to secure top 5 now!

You mean re City?

Didn't intend it as title talk, but rather that there are benefits to having City in the 2nd to 6th mix alongside Yanited, Chelsea, Liverpool and us. City's recent form has been just as poor as ours. There's no need to give up on 2nd place just yet.

Back to football. I know we moan about our man Watkins but it's not as if the other strikers in the League are pulling up trees. Today Haaland, Salah and Ekitikie were crap. Pedro, Sesko, Woltemade and Wissa are equally ineffective. Thiago is the current hotshot but most of them have not made it to double digits.

Hasn’t Thiago scored about 8 pens though?

As for VAR today, that’s nuts. Great for us, but still VAR isn’t being used very well half the time.

Lasted 30 mins of 606. Comedy Gold. Numerous Lpool/Man C "fans" called in but not a Scouse/Mancunian accemt between them. One Man City fan (without irony) referenced the amount Lpool spent. Interspersed with interviews with a shell-shocked Slot and smug Pep.

The problem for us is, it won't effect them at all, they won't have to sell anyone and will probably go and spend another £100m+

Yeah right. They will all be jumping up and down screaming now.

To be honest though, the internet piled on us for moaning last week, but there’s no point anyone jumping on to have a go at fans saying they have been damned by VAR. Over the course of around six weeks, I reckon every team will have had to endure a ridiculous VAR intervention/incident towards them. It’s not just a mess.
