Amazing how many deluded twats keep saying Uni would take the job in a heartbeat if it were offered to him. Why would an intelligent, talented football coach give up all he's worked at for three years for that shit show?
I am more concerned by failing Alonso at RM.

Courtesy of Henry Winter : The last time Manchester United played fewer games in a season, Asquith was Prime Minister.

At least the players will be fresh for the new manager.

Astonishing game in Copa Del Rey final.  Three goals in as many minutes at the end of the first half.
I think its fixed to entertain plastic fans out there.

Why were they supposed to play 3 extra minutes but played 10? Even with the goals scored that seems a bit extreme.

Simon Stone will have to rewrite his piece from this morning about how good Fletcher is and how he impressed all the directors etc.
But remember these are manu director, numpties being paid fat salaries to keep failing.

Apparently they’ve interviewed Michael Carrick and Solskjaer for the job. Love it.

Only for the job until the summer. They have already had their worst PL position ever so they might as well save all their cash and leave it with Fletcher now.

But they will probably still spend £100mil in this transfer window.

Someone said this is the first time they have ever been knocked out of both cups at the earliest possible stage. Assumed Villa must have "achieved" this a few times so was surprised to see it has only happened to us once, too. 2016/17, if you were wondering.

Back in the day there was a seeded two leg match at the start of the league cup. Made losing less likely.

Yep and division 1 would have been 42 games for years so it would have been impossible to play 40 in a season!

I wasn't even thinking that far back. We've had so many third round exits in the last 10 to 15 years and it doesn't seem like we've done anything in the LC outside of a couple of seasons.

First Grimsby Town, then Brighton knocked Manchester United out of the domestic cups.

So Cantona was right, the Seagulls do indeed follow the Trawlers.
