I've just seen Keane state that Martinelli's behaviour was a disgrace. Yes the same Keane who ended the career of another player in a revenge tackle whilst standing over him and gloating, and then wrote about it in his book proudly and even still stated that he was in the right, has called another players actions a disgrace.
It seems they had two reasons for the appeal. 1: The hair pull was an accident - No it wasn't, you can see him reach out and pull it specifically, it wasn't like it was grabbed while he was pulling a shirt or the hand was on a shoulder. 2: The three game ban was excessive. - Might have an argument there but that it is the same three game ban for tapping someones cheek or punching them out. It also isn't the first time a red has been shown for similar actions in the sport. As for Moyes other comments, I do find it stupid that a deliberate two handed push in the chest is only a yellow and that is pretty much what Martinelli did. But then so did the Liverpool player who was incensed at the initial contact.

Not excusing what Keane said or did to Haaland but he would argue Haaland stood over him and said things when he was injured and got revenge. And it doesn't change that Martinelli was a twat.
Bertie Mee on Wesley, I was at Old Trafford when Giggs did Fashanu's knee in too. If memory serves Man U got the free kick.
