Martinelli later issued an apology on social media, saying the two players had been in contact and he had already said sorry."I really didn't understand he was seriously injured in the heat of the moment," Martinelli posted on Instagram."I want to say I'm deeply sorry for reacting. Sending Conor all my best again for a quick recovery."

Merino pulls back Rogers on a yellow - no red card. Martinelli violent conduct - no red card.Nothing fishy is going on at all...
I don't recall seeing any player doing what Martinelli did to a fellow pro.
To be honest, on reflection, it wasn’t right to defend Martinelli as he should have had a reasonable expectation the player was injured. I am for dragging off those feigning injuries though.
It was very obvious from his leg behaviour that he was seriously injured (unlike Martinelli(?) in the arse box 10 mins beforehand). Neville called it straight away for example. Maybe the prick was still angry the ball wasn't kicked out and Saka had to fake a head injury to get the game stopped, even though his own players also carried on and didn't put the ball out.I'm hoping his actions get looked at after the incident by the FA/PFL and they increase the punishement but I don't they will.
As Neville said, the only surprise is that things didn't get a lot messier. I fully expected someone to clock him.

He was surprised no one didn't and added I wouldn't blame them. Not really what you want to hear a commentator say but, rapidly switching hats, neither would I.
