Am I alone in thinking that Bradley intentionally rolled back on to the pitch to hold up play.

Probably, yes.

As Liverpool conspiracy theories go, it isn't his worst.

Martinelli incident. Wanker

And that clip does not show that Martinelli had thrown the ball at Bradley, before coming back to try and push him off the pitch.

Arsenal players, fans and the manager really are a dislikeable club these days. They just can't take it if things don't go their way. They are still six points clear at the top but their fans greeted the final whistle with a few groans and not a single encouraging cheer. Martinelli was an absolute disgrace and should be retrospectively punished.

I was thinking Martinelli’s actions stem from those of his manager who more often than not comes across as a petulant, snivelling pillock.

It was worse I think.
First he throws the ball at Bradley.
Then he has his foot and knee up against the player on the ground with a definite movement to dig into the player before trying to push him off the pitch.

Why a Liverpool player wasn’t brave or angry enough to deal with the prick Martinelli is strange.

Taylor clearly saw what happened because he gave the prick a yellow. Why not a red? Only he can answer that.
to stop any VAR involvement ?

It doesn't. Yellow cards can be upgraded. I guess Taylor only saw the push not the ball being thrown. And VAR chose not to get involved because they're fannies.

Weirdly there was about three separate actions in the space of 5 seconds that all probably deserved a yellow.
But not enough in them to be a red in their own right.

They should add a new rule for VAR to intervene if someone acts the ******.

Bradley was injured but Martinelli didn’t know this. Bradley wanted to hold up play. As he neared the edge of the pitch his instinct was to roll back on to the pitch to hold up play. It was at this point Martinelli got annoyed due to the perceived time wasting. He overreacted and got a deserved yellow. What’s the major issue here?

So the next time Martinelli takes a tumble, it will fine to knee him, chuck a ball at him and throw him to one side?

I don't recall seeing any player doing what Martinelli did to a fellow pro.
I hope he went and apologised after the game.

You probably didn’t see it properly - Bradley was rolling in pain, but never left the pitch. Martinelli is a classless prick - which sums up Arsenal under Arteta

It’s ludicrous to suggest Bradley was trying to roll back on the pitch. It’s a shit defence of Martinelli’s actions. Because given that Bradley was very likely in serious pain I doubt he had the required spatial awareness such that the first thing crossing his mind was let’s get on the pitch and slow down the game.
