A good finish by the Leicester lad. Albion are wasteful and not very good. The Ryan Mason experiment will be jettisoned before long.

PGMOL are chancing their arm with this Liverpool offside. Completely winging it. Dermot Gallagher is on Sky Sports saying the tolerance is 5cm and this was brought in 4.5 years ago. Jay Bothroyd is trying, but he's no interogater.

First question is, why doesn't this come up more regularly, as I've seen way tighter calls given as offside in the last 4.5 years? Second question would be, do you understand how big 5cm is?

I don't mind the mistakes and I think they generally get a raw deal, but this bunker attitude is pissing me off. It was offside.

I’ve seen so many offsides which have been way tighter than (50mm) 2 inches with Villa,  let alone every other side in the last five years. That’s got to be either rubbish, or a rule only mentioned very quietly to a select few.

Sometimes you are better off owning a mistake and moving on.

They've boxed themselves into a corner on
- offsides
- "contact with consequences"
- corner / set piece shenanigans
- players not being 10 yds from a free kick
- the exact point where set pieces are taken (throw-ins, free kicks etc.)
Now I get why they don't want to waste time enforcing everything, but it's gone way past the point of sanity; IMHO.

zero tolerance is the only way to have consistency and they lack the balls to go down that road

Can we include basketball games in other games?

“Real Madrid C.F. confirms that the EuroLeague game between Real Madrid and Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv, scheduled for Thursday, January 8, will be played behind closed doors.
Following a meeting of the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia, and Intolerance in Sport, which declared the game high-risk, Real Madrid is complying with the recommendation made by the National Police.”
