“ After the week they have had that this was an extraordinary response from Chelsea – and a stunning result for Arsenal as well as Manchester City.”

Headline in the Sunday Tel

We don’t exist

This is like the people who are furious that TalkSport, a machine deliberately created to make stupid people angry is making stupid people angry about things.

Good football coverage exists. Don't get angry because you're choosing to read shit football coverage. It's like getting your pitchfork and torch out because the political analysis of The Daily Star isn't nuanced enough.

Calm down Dave
Where was the anger in my comment?
I’m not angry (and I’m certainly not stupid)
I was just stating a fact

I will now put my pitchfork back for another day

I didn't say you were stupid (your posts over the years suggest very much the opposite).

Just that if places are writing stuff that you know is bad, just stop reading it. I can't remember the last time I read something in the press about us that made me angry (other than stuff linked on here), because stuff about us is a pretty good gauge of whether anything they write is worth bothering with, so you just stop if you can see that they are writing shit.

I would however still stand by the fact that anyone getting angry about TalkSport coverage of us is stupid.

This is fair too. Especially TalkSport. You know what it's up to. Sack it off.

The DT is usually pretty good for football coverage but that headline by Jason Burt just frustrated me

On the other hand they do have Matt Law and John Percy

I’ll take your word about Talksport - never listened to it

Just saw the replay of Liverpools first goal. It was clearly offside when the ball was played even Jamie Carragher said it was!

Just catching up with some of the goals from today and saw that one.  How dues the semi-automation work in terms of when the picture is taken?  Does it still need someone to stop it at the exact moment and then it produces the image from there?  If so, is there a possibility that there could still be an error made in terms of when the image was stopped?

The semi automation looked like it had given the defender clown boots. If the frozen picture used by the TV is the one they used for offside, the foot angle looks totally different.

The point here is, it was given offside on field and to the naked eye it looked offside and the stills shown after shows it looks offside and yet without clear evidence to the contrary they decided to overturn it. Very strange.

Presumably an editor would have written the headline.

I've seen it a hundred times and, honestly, Wirtz is just offside. Baffling.

The still frame that they showed on the screen makes him offside. I don't know what "semi" automated actually means. It's crucial that they they freeze the picture the instant the ball leaves contact with the passing players foot otherwise it's still open to human error if it's up to a human to decide when to freeze the frame.

I don't know what "semi" automed actually means.

It's what the VAR official got as he allowed the goal.

That's the thing - the semi-automation was supposed to improve things, yet if it's still relying on someone to freeze the frame at the exact point then there could still be errors made.

It's the Sky Six. That's all that matters to them.

Some people class Small Heath and West Brom as being our rivals, tbf.

Well, they are a rival to Arsenal.
