Can anyone explain how that Newcastle goal was not offside?

Because I don't want Newcastle to win.

Arsenal while not having to be superb this season find themselves with key rivals being way below their usual standards. They will need to fuck up to a monumental level not to win the league this season.

They just explained - the defender’s inner arm was keeping him on.  Bonkers.

Arsenal could finish the weekend with 9 wins out of 12, 6 points clear, the highest scorers and the best defence. Pretty sure that qualifies as superb so far.

His flapping shirt sleeve apparently. If it wasn't windy, he'd have been offside.

It’s a sub standard PL so far. They’ve no real competition. They’ve only won 2 games by more than 2 goals; Forest and Leeds. Other than that they’ve been good rather than great. Yeh all those stats are true but averaging less than two goals a game to be top when 8 goals came from 2 of their 11 games isn’t superb in my opinion.
