Yeah, fair enough. I'd be happy for Matty if they qualify. Albania would be fun as a new qualifier, and Ukraine would be a nice story given all the shit they're going through. Sweden would be the most boring option.

Meanwhile, intercontinental ones.

New Caledonia vs Jamaica, winners play DRC.

Bolivia vs Suriname, winners play Iraq.

Bolivia would be a dull choice. Mon Surinaq.

Sweden would be even more boring than Poland.

Be nice if the Iraqis had something to celebrate, IMO. Same for DRC.

Mind you, New Caledonia qualifying while Italy stay home would be hilarious.

Watching them beat Old Caledonia next summer wouldn't *not* be funny as well.

Why does someone always have to spoil things? We were all playing nicely.

It's a given that Scotland will fail to get out of the group because they messed up against a minnow. It's as proud a Scottish tradition as Hogmanay and Haggis hunting season.

Apparently he'd lost the dressing room, as they couldn't understand his patois accent.

ROI draw could have been a lot worse. Away to Czechia, then a home final if they win there. Denmark don't fare well in front of passionate Celts.

They destroyed us 5-1 at home the last time we played them in a play off, admittedly they aren't as strong now as back then. Must negotiate the Czechia game first. Still probably the best draw we could have hoped for.

Ireland seem to be on a bit of a roll. You never know.
