Trouble is bellingham has turned into a massive twat. Look at the problems england had with the characters of the golden generation and how their attitude was as bad as their performances.

France left the likes of Ginola and Cantona out of their squad for the 1998 world cup and went on to win it. They had that dude Guivarch up front and Diomede on the wing from memory. Two clearly better individuals left at home. Spain with Raul too.

It would be a monumental call to leave Bellingham out of the WC squad but Tuchel won't shy away from the decision. On the flip side, man management of big names players is where he has had issues before at club level. He wouldn't be an Ancelotti

There's a strong feeling reading comments elsewhere that he's not particularly popular outside of the fawning press. One of the main defences seems to be "that overhead kick when he rescued England" to which the obvious replay was we wouldn't need rescuing if he hadn't been garbage against mediocre opposition for 89 minutes.

Or Jimmy Greaves, to bring up the most overused example. There's a reason why Zlatan didn't work so well with Barça under Guardiola despite being and incredible player joining an incredible team. In the end it's a collective and strange sport, and it's the best side that wins not the best player.

That's not really the same thing. They both last played for France in 1995. Cantona was never picked again after his ban and Ginola never really got back into the picture after his mistake cost them their '94 World Cup spot.

And they weren't playing Guivarc'h instead of Cantona, they were playing Zinedine Zidane. Whcih is a bit more understandable.
