Ireland 1-0 up against Portugal.

That would be some result. Do they have Hungary last game?

It would be  and would mean they'd finish 2nd if they beat Hungary. Portugal will no doubt break our hearts before that.

Winning tonight and then losing to Hungary feels a bit more like recent Ireland behaviour to me.

I don't know what it is/was about Rashford, but considering he was only here for 6 months I really, really want him to do well. I don't usually give many fucks about loan players. I think it might be the media hammering he's had.

Make that 2-0 to Ireland, Troy Parrott again.

Mental. Basically Championship versus Champions League. Hope they win (and lose in heart breaking fashion to Hungary of course).

I haven't renewed my ESTA just yet.

That’s the way to do it!

It's just nice to be excited watching an Ireland game again. It's been a rough few years for us.

Vitinha misses a gilt-edged chance.

Portugal are weird. Packed with great players, capable of great performances, frequently play like a bunch of part-timers.

And are still reliant on a 40 yo to play well.

It's one of those games where if Ireland lose it's funny, if Portugal lose it's funny.

Shouldn't Starmer be ensuring Serbs could attend a match on English soil without any issues?
