I love how the vibe with the Liverpool fans booing of ‘Trent’ is ‘understandable’ in a way it isn’t for any other fucking home grown player getting booed.

This featured again on 5Live this morning. Exceptionalism and reverence for fans who are no better or worse than any other football fans.

Yes but when we booed our players, we were told the fans were being really unfair to a player who has been a servent to the club. When TTA is booed it is understandable as he broke the fans hearts and the excellent fans can't forgive that.
