At the start of the season they had a run of 5 wins but I remember watching them and thinking it all felt a bit unsustainable and they didn't look likely to be title challengers. The more recent form feels like a fairer reflection of them unless Salah suddenly goes on a ridiculous run of form and drags them up a level or 2.

It's a bit like when Lampard was at Chelsea, he did ok with the team he inherited but when he got to spend some money he made a mess of the balance of the squad.

Liverpool started the season with 7 wins (after the CS). They were very reliant on late goals though.
