Newcastle came out like a runaway train both haves and ran out of steam after 10 minutes each time.

There are haves and have nots, and Newcastle are playing without a striker.

You make a good point, though; they come out of the hutch firing on all cylinders, and it works sometimes.

They had a £70mil on the bench. Their choice not to play a striker, or get another backup in to replace Wilson.

Get in there rash!

Why do you want him to score against a decent club like Newcastle? (Oil money apart - which they can’t spend - bit like our owners can’t spend)

Dear God in heaven.

1. It's part of being a football fan that you never want other English teams to do well in Europe.
2. They're competing with us in the same mini league in English football, why would you want them to do well?
3. Their fans.
4. Their owners are absolute fucking murdering scum.

Apart from that, haway the lads.

Totally agree. When Chelski won it the 1st time, was horrible listening to them sing “ we know what we are…champions of Europe” all the following season.
Newcastle ain’t Chelsea.

Right. Because their former owner didn’t make his money from close ties to that murdering ****** Putin and the current owners don’t have close ties to PIF via Clearlake. Yeh, they’re just fine.

Why do they do a lap of honour every game even when they lose?  They can get in the bin.

That is true.

Gordon comes out on fire, though, and it has worked for them a few times.

The  Isak issue has clearly had an effect, just as our transfer window has had an effect on us.

Think he was out.

Didn't help them that Tonali and Joelinton had stinkers. Bruno Guimaraes was their only CM that played well.

I didn't watch it live, but noticed Joelinton was booked early on so I wonder if that affected their normal physicality.

Might have been a different game if they had a striker on the end of that cross in the first half. Similar to what he was doing against us.

He was. I’m pointing out that they bought a replacement for Callum Wilson.

You kind of knew that would happen.
Bit naive.

Maybe Emery's onto something?
