Oh & Lucy Bronze is totally the female John Terry!

Pearce for the reaction on scoring the penalty, Butcher for continuing massively bandaged.

Unprofessional from both teams but you only have to be slightly less shit than your foe.

You have to feel for the Swedish keeper, Falk  - 3 penalty saves and could have won it with her own penalty.

But Sweden must be kicking themselves as they should have won the game in 120 minutes and had 3 match points as Jonas Eidvall said. They’ll be wondering how on earth they lost that.

Now that preseason has officially started, any chance we can close one of these Other Games threads?

The Euros are still part of last season. This one should only be used for European qualifiers and club friendlies. We could maybe just have one "Other Games" thread that lasts forever, I suppose. No real need for a new one each season, and would prevent issues when people are desperate to discuss leagues that don't run in the Northern Hemisphere winter like the Norwegian or proper Irish leagues.

They're international football and should be in a thread dedicated to such! If Footy was still here this kind of nonsense would never stand.

I took "Other Games" to mean all matches not involving Villa...

But I'd like to see FV back.

Christ almighty just saw that penalty shootout from last night, Stevie Wonder would have done better than some of the Swedes! And what turnip thought it was a good idea for a goalie to take pen #5?

Swede keeper moving before kicks.
That is what I said when it was happening. No wonder she got down to save them. What was the line person on the goal line watching?

In today's big result, the mighty Bully Wee won 2-1 away at Peterhead, with goals in the 96th and 98th minutes.

At least if Rangers go through, they won't drop into the Europa League (I think).
