"You can't say anything these days"

Well, you can but if you broadcast them you are open to censure and advertising the fact that you have shit for brains.

Have only just noticed that League One and League Two start the week before the Championship this season. I think that's new.

Lovely stuff with Man City. Guardiola going to start the season under a bit of pressure for the first time. Great time if some of those charges stuck over the summer.

Difficult not to laugh at Man City being beaten by that Saudi team.

There were plenty of signs in the citeh camp from the players of how pissed off they were having to be there in the first place.

I can imagine a lot of players, especially those in domestic leagues, in many cases having played 70+ games (e.g. when you consider European based players with European competition and national team) that have now ended not wanting to spend what should be a break for them playing in a brand new tournament. The clubs however were incentivized, even threatened (if you believe what you read in some spots) to be there. I’ve enjoyed the football part of it, but I can fully understand why some players wouldn’t be thrilled.

I'll be happy for them to get to the final and then lose. Let's see what these players are like by the end of the season when they've played practically 2 years without any break.

If Chelsea get to the final, they'll earn a minimum of US$50m. Vamos Palmeiras!

Yeah supporting Chelsea is just wrong. Even aside from the financial element, them winning another sodding trophy after a mediocre season, by their standards, would be annoying. Can we just have one season where neither Chelsea nor Man U shitfest a trophy or, better still, a season when we do?

And we all thought they were going to be utter shit this season. Wish we could class that as a shit season.
