What’s the rule on the disallowed goal, how far back can you go?
It depends on if it's Villa who have scored it and whether it at Old Trafford.

Are we blaming Leeg for whatever the feck was going on in the Belgium v Cymru game ?

It's an absolute catastrophuck, as it was always going to be starting a new thread halfway through an international window. Legion is lucky I'm not the sort to complain.

Goal disallowed because the ball went out of play….and yet a goal is allowed when scored following a corner which should have been a goal kick.

None of the camera angles I saw showed that the lino had made a clear error in not awarding a throw-in

A corner is a different phase of play though. I suspect if Wales had won the ball and launched an attack before losing it again, they might have not bothered looking at it. But I think it was 4 passes and about 20 seconds in between the line call and Lukaku scoring, so I'm fine with it being looked at. I agree though that the angles used by TV (and subsequently VAR) didn't look like they could definitely call it out. No angle was straight on and as it is the edge of the ball and not the bit touching, they couldn't be that sure due to angle of viewing.

He’s had a mare kicking this off so early. This thread will be responsible for our results at Old Trafford and Selhurst next season.

Enjoyed the Belgium v Wales game….good attackers, terrible defenders (Faes in a team with de Bruyne is nuts) and awful officials…pretty good recipe for a 7 goal thriller.

Doku allowed to play his natural game rather than his club neutering style was a joy to watch

Lovely finish and assist from our Youri

Thought the ball going out of play was more of a 'black & white line drawing decision' like offside, or whether the ball has crossed the line for a goal, which maybe doesn't have to be 'clear & obvious' to be called.
Like offside & goal line decisions, the decision on whether a ball is out, isn't subjective, it is or it isn't.

It is definitive, however as the whole of the ball has to clear the lines, not just the bit that was touching, and with the ball being curved it isn't easy to judge when not looking direct on.

The image above shows it being a hard call.

That looks more in play than the one in the World Cup when Japan scored against Germany. That goal was allowed.

Did they show the VAR still on which they based the decision?

And that Japan goal was most likely correct.

No Villa players in England starting 11. Save you all the bother of watching it.

They showed a couple of replays, but it was hard to tell if it was out.
