I want us to finish 4th anyway to eliminate England possibly having 6 clubs in the CL. No one league should have that many spots. Even 5 is too many.

Agreed - unless that additional team happens to be Aston Villa. Realistically, without the additional revenue it's going to take a long time to catch up. We need Champions League. Maybe once we have the revenue and are regulars in the Champions League we can pull up the drawbridge and reduce it back down to 4 teams.

I dont know if this has already been posted but Freiburg's Japanese international midfielder Suzuki will miss the final with a broken collarbone.

Suzuki not swift.

(Although he missed the match on Thurday and they didn't seem to miss him).

Bad day for Japan as Mitoma also went off injured.

They have to sort out a big screen in the ground, there will be loads of demand.

Not doing it because of the North Stand work.

I heard, but surely just opening up the Holte won’t impact the building work or any safety concerns?

After next Saturday there could be no pitch at all and a wrecking ball machine on it.

"Why I hate the Guardian"  episode 5356.

Whilst there may be a point there a) it's hardly news that the Premier League income dwarfs the other leagues b) this was more pertinent last season when the 16th and 17th placed teams were duelling it out, and I don't recall similar pieces then.

I can see that it would be difficult to set up a screen at the ground. There are works happening all around the ground, not just the North Stand. Contracts will have been signed, with completion dates, and penalties for non completion. A screen at Aston Hall would be good.

Considering there will be 1000’s attending the warehouse on final night too.

Was there a similar article last year when Spurs and Yanited were in the final?

Bloody hell that is a stark reminder of why CL football is so important
