Anyway......

Tammy to replace Malen in the squad.

We still need an Elliot and probably Kamara replacement filler. Barkley might officially be back in for one of them.

Is it three changes we can make? I remember last year we added Rashford and Asensio but not Malen or Garcia. Did we add Disasi?

Edit: yes we did. Abraham and two others then. Bailey and Barkley unless we sign some more players which, hopefully, we do.

He played against PSG (I think).

We did. He played in the PSG away game.

We bought in five and added Disasi, Rash and Asensio. We needed to add the first as pretty much all our central defenders were out in Jan so needed that cover. Last year we (on here) thought it could have been four if five* were let go from the squad and then it was pointed out that was only for the summer season lot. I think someone inside VP thought the same and then screwed up as well.

*We lost Buendia, Gauci, Philogene, Ned. Carlos and Duran.

I think here was one of the few places that had it correct pretty early on, while Sky, the BBC and pretty much everywhere else was peddling the "sell a load of players and you can add more" fallacy.

But even on here it was being peddled and then one noted that was not for our lot but only the Nordics and Ireland. But yes, we certainly clicked on faster then those sites you mentioned and probably VP as well.

Why do we need a replacement for someone who's never in contention anyway l? Buendia's unplanned resurrection did for Elliott. Kamara, fair enough.

It's just a space that will open up. Elliott was one of our 21 players for the September - January part, he won't be for the February - (hopefully) May part.

As he says, Barkley might be that player, or someone new might.

We named him in the squad for UEFA, hence him playing in one of the UEFA games. Last year we got rid of 6 members of that initial UEFA squad with sales or loans out, and added three so there was no worry of who was "missing out" (apart from Malen and Garcia). This year Barkley was the only real first team player who missed out due to his unknown length outage, (although he then became our temporary injury replacement when Mings was out for several months).

So currently we know Malen and Elliot leave a spot with Tammy and maybe Bailey taking those. I expect they won't gamble on Kamara being fit for the final so either Barkley joining the squad officially now or A N Other signing. We can't make anymore injury subs going forward though so the next squad is locked in from Feb.

Words that should not appear in January…. ‘Fit for the final’. I know what you mean but I don’t like tempting fate in anyway

Unknown length outage?

Didn't they support African Car Reverser on their last European tour?

They did indeed. Lived up to their name too, overloading the electricity mains with their many amps on stage causing a power cut. ACR had to do his set acoustically in candlelight and was majorly pissed off.
