Terrible ref, but pretty much matched but the utter embarrassment we put out. A shocking performance.

I want Emery to come out swinging.
I wish he did that before kick off was shite tactics and lack of mettel that cost us before half time

Yep.

We didn’t deserve anything in this game regardless of the referee’s total fuck up. We shouldn’t be sulking as we didn’t turn up. I’m pissed off with the line up more than anything as it takes a tremendous effort to play worse than the worst ManU team in 20 odd years. We somehow managed it. Wankers!

Just fuck off, Villa. Emi - hope we get some decent money, you temperamental twat.

A rush of blood to the head….for both you and Emi

Oh thanks for that! What did you think was going to happen when Emi did what he did?
You’re right Jane
He races out of his goal with no chance of getting there first. Should have stood his ground and had a 1 to 1 with Hojilund who probably wouldn’t have scored

It's really not that hard, is it?

Turns out GD is worth a point after all.

Well, no. Because if we had got one more point we would have finished fifth.

So worth a point then as we needed 1 more point than the side with a superior GD.

I'm not sure what you're trying to prove, but it's a bit bloody weird.

Is there any sort of man city points deduction we can pray for?

Not sure why your first thought after a typically irritating loss is "I'll try to wind someone up", but I'll leave you to it.
If our gd was better than Newcastle we finish 5th: ergo it's worth a point.

If we had got one more point, who would have finished higher, Villa or Newcastle? Villa. By a point. Because goal difference isn't worth a point. It is worth an indeterminate number between 1/infinity and 1-(1/infinity). But not a point.

It was still 0-0 when Rogers' goal was VARd off, and WE WERE STILL IN EUROPE.

But we then buggered it up by conceding to a back post header. That's on us, NOT the clown in black. We were 100% to blame.

We've shown on several
occasions this season that we can't manage games out.

And it's cost us dearly today.

Gd did cost us. But us being shit cost us more. Meant nothing given the massive gd Newcastle had anyway.

We can blame whoever we want today but the season’s over 38 games and what did us in the end was our goal difference.

I've just said to a mate that I can't tell anymore whether Premier League refereeing is corruption masquerading as incompetence or vice versa.

Very dispiriting. The performance was worse than the FA Cup semi, against a worse team.

To cap it all, some of our fans around us were appalling all game.
