We didn’t turn up today and so, like the Palace game I wouldn’t have a complaint about the result, but I can’t believe that twat of a referee doesn’t wait before blowing his whistle. We take the lead then I don’t believe we lose the game.

More angry at the performance than the ref.

Fine, be angry at how we played, we were shit, but please don't let that blind us from the fact that it was one of the worst decisions by any ref since VAR came in. No one can know how the game would play out if he'd kept his whistle out of his mouth for another second but we can say, with absolute certainty that we should be finishing that game with a goal in our for column.

Trying to think of the game where Mings was interviewed after, when he said something like “when things are going wrong, you need someone on the pitch to change things”. The interviewer said “who would that be?” and he said “me”.

Our only true leader, not picked for a big game again.

Disappointed with how we played and the referee. But we have two routes into the Champions League next season, and being in the Europa League with a manager that always wins the Europa League might not be the worst thing in the world.

Good point, but it’s hurting bad after that.

Let’s hope so..

Consistent bottlers. Having to go to old shithole and get a win on the last game of the season was never going to happen.

Didn't even need to win, as it turned out.

And still came up short.

It’s gutting. I hate VAR and would get rid of it entirely. It isn’t doing what it was supposed to do - removing the “howler”.

Good season all round though. We just had too much to do. I am really looking forward to seeing what happens over the sunmer

Looking forward to what Unai says and also Emi.

If I was Unai I'd keep my mouth shut, that was pathetic. We absolutely bottled it, again.

Yep. Just haven't turned up when the pressure is truly on. This team will be broken up now and we'll have to build from the bottom-up again.

Turns out GD is worth a point after all.

Well, no. Because if we had got one more point we would have finished fifth.

So worth a point then as we needed 1 more point than the side with a superior GD.

Not sure why your first thought after a typically irritating loss is "I'll try to wind someone up", but I'll leave you to it.

So true. Cash was making mistake after mistake after mistake. Mings should have come on before the second goal.
