Shouldn't we have a new thread to go with the new threads?

The shirt itself is so good. The video is even better...

Really nice to have a slightly different style of kit as we've essentially been wearing the same design with visual tweaks for decades.

Gutted. Was hoping it was misdirection.

1969-70 is neither a season or a kit to commemorate. Utterly bizarre. Adidas were doing so well.

And it was a  huge controversy at that time. That was the era when Coventry, Leeds, Liverpool, Chelsea changed their traditional kits and we were aping them! But we’re Aston Villa!

It’s ok. Not a fan of collars and IMO sleeves should be blue.

We more than any other big club deviate from our classic look. 1987-89, 1993-95, 1999-00, 2001-02, 2018-19, 2026-27.

I know I rarely post here; usually maintaining a "watching brief", but in this case, I'm willing to make an exeption.

Has the club website/app been hacked by bitters in a poor attempt to pop our balloon? Or, is this is a mistake, and actually part of some "leisure wear" collection?

Surely one of the above is the case; as who, in all good conscience, would endorse this complete and utter, fuckin' abomination?

And me. Although I will prefer the away if it has the stand alone lion.

Not a fan of the kit. I imagine I will be once we complete the treble. The sponsor will make a big difference. Also we are Villa fans and Brummies so we do need something to complain about after the best year ever. So this allows us to come back down to earth. The video is very good.

We will learn to live it I guess. Now for a proper stellar shirt sponsor.
