Why on earth Adidas starting using the crap 3 stripes slanted logo instead of the Trefoil on merchandise baffles me to this day. It was the Rolls Royce of logo's,  and looked good on everything they did. If it ain't broke don't fix it scenario.

Still hoping by this is all rumour and we end up with a proper Villa shirt of claret shirt and sky blue sleeves.

If they really have to do something different put some sky blue rings under the collar.

I remember graham Taylor saying he had more letters about the kit than anything else when we finally returned to a proper Villa shirt in 89!

I definitely wrote him one as an 8-year old. I’ve still got his reply somewhere.

More reports that next season's kit will be all-claret and inspired by our 1969 kit.
https://www.footyheadlines.com/2025/11/aston-villa-26-27-home-kit.html

My first kit was the 69 top.

Next summer it will be 57 years since 1969, and we're on page 57 of this thread. It's written in the stars.

*Unai will be restoring ketchup to the BMH canteen.

Just do a simple kit and stop with the 'inspired by' guff. We were utter shit in 1969.

We must have had about five non traditional kits since 1993. That is too many and it's one of the most small time things we do.

I hate the striped kits we have had and I hate the Hearts kits we have had. Just give us the classic Aston Vlla claret body blue sleeve.

It's a weird one. Picking a year in which we finished 18th in the second division.

Can't get much simpler than all-claret.

Nah, the 68/69 shirt had blue sleeves. So they've picked the kit we got relegated to the Third Division in.

It’s the Tommy Docherty monstrosity isn’t it? An era where tradition went out the window and loads of clubs like Leeds, Cov, Palace picked silly kits. Ours had claret shorts as welll and was v unpopular with the supporters.
