Should we read with confidence that due to the latest marketing images with Mings, Ramsay, Watkins and now Rogers being front and centre the media trying to sell off our players to the vultures is premature?

No, I'd never read into any of that. No one can know if someone will offer daft money for Rogers, for instance, at any point.

And if marketing teams were told transfer secrets there would be no transfer secrets.

Looks nice enough. I'd imagine the weird Villa fans that don't actually like Villa shirts might moan, though. You know, the Luke apologists.

I agree, that’s a lovely top. Proper Villa, as some would say.

But I have to disagree, regarding the Luke top.
For me it symbolises the club’s turnaround.
As well as being a thing of beauty 😉

In my defence my first kit was the 1970 Docherty top. My Dad hated it and loved when Vic Crowe changed it back

There's a nice pattern/texture on it too, and on the collar. I'm back to liking it again!

I love the Luke tops and seeing what they go for on ebay I think a lot of other people do too.

I do think the white shoulder stripes are wrong. There’s four colours on that thing.

The stripes had to be claret, or the same colour as the piping and the cuff motif.

Claret would be better, but the shirt's very similar to this year's as it is.  I like the cuffs.

It's a good claretty claret.  Whatever else they fanny around with I hope that would be ring fenced.  The blue is (still) a bit pale for my exacting tastes but I suppose it has to match the badge?

But still, take my money Villa! (maybe, much later, when it's cheap, and we've won summat)

I like the white stripes coming off the claret collar
