Not sure where to ask this - but does anyone know if the outlet store at the Holte End is open all the time - or just at certain times of the year? Be good to snag a couple of bargains now.

Opens Thursday to Sunday 10-4pm.

A mock up. But I’d certainly buy that.

I wouldn't mind it for a change in 4 or 5 years' time (assuming we're still with Adidas). It may not be to everyone's taste.

This is precisely why they get professionals to do it.

When you look at the variety of kits a massive team like Barcelona has had over the years, all manner of designs, the same old same old can get a bit predictable or boring. Or that we shouldn’t be afraid of change. It’s not like haven’t had stripes in our past. Because if we don’t show some creativity now and again we will become Arsenal where every single new home it is a slight variation on exactly the same design.

Some of the “professionals” who have designed some of our kits over the years, at great expense to the club, should be fired from their jobs and never allowed to design football kits again.

I agree, that striped abomination at the turn of the century and the Luke one for starters.

I'm all for mixing the kit up a bit, something like 1 in 4 home kits we do something other than claret body with blue sleeves would be my target. However, that stripy one TV linked is fucking awful.

For the main away kit every other one would be mostly white with a yellow one here and there, the 3rd kit can be almost anything they can imagine, that's the one where they should be doing some weird shit that might turn into a classic for a small set of fans (a bit like the black, red and green one from the 90s).

The black, red and green one was the actual away kit from the 93/94 and 94/95 seasons. (Wish we had 2 season cycles now)!

My first Villa shirt was the equivalent home kit special edition from the 94 cup final. It was "different" in that it had stripes.

I know, 3rd kits weren't really a thing then, but now that they're common place I think they're a better 'spot' for the bolder ideas. The home and away from 93/94 were my 2nd and 3rd kits after having a a hummel 89/90 one as my first.

Arsenal are quite right. It's not being afraid of change, it's respecting our club's traditions. Stripes on a home strip is repulsive.
