We are so much better than them lot. I think we'll piss it.
Hopefully other results go our way

I hope you’re right, obviously, but it’s pretty rare we win games at a canter. Any win will do of course.

While we stress all week, the executives at Sky breathe a sigh of relief that there is something to play for in the PL and it looks like they won't pick the TV games until the outcome of the match on Tuesday.

All we can do is win, and that will be Emery's focus right until the final whistle when we have that interminable wait while one of the games has 15 minutes added on, or something along those lines. Amongst all the reasons to qualify again for the CL, the fact that we get more Saturday games as a result of not playing on Thursdays is more than enough justification for me to want things to go our way.

1-2

we are, and we were when they came to Villa Park this season but we still never layed a glove on them in the most boring game of the season
we are petrified of MU because of the amount of comebacks and wins they've had against us, thought Unai might change the mindset when he first came but no we are back where we've always been

the biggest problem we face is not ability, form or quality its psychological put that right and we win

No, but they can change them if for example one team is 4-0 up in 20 minutes. TBH it is only three matches now anyway to go on so I think they can do all three, with the Forest/Chelsea probably being the main one due to any result has so many connotations.

You'd think the main game will be Forest v Chelsea and they will bounce to the other games as required.

Last time we played here on the last day i think we were already relegated , and lost 4-1

3-1.
Yep I was there, Paul Birch with a consolation for is, diving header I think.

Anyway, 2-0, Watkins, McGinn. Cmon ta fuck!!

Good memory. Andy Gray's last Villa appearance. I have never previously heard of Stuart Ritchie, who replaced him.

https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/manchester-united_aston-villa/index/spielbericht/2559083

Edit: or Phil Robinson, who started for us in midfield.

No recollection of Stuart Ritchie either but I do remember Phil Robinson, he was in the same sort of class as Dean Glover, Paul Kerr, Darren Bradley et all.

They never looked like they thought they deserved to be playing, and they were right.

I thought all games were on TV last day of the season?

I think that was just during Covid when we weren't able to attend in person.

The EPG has two as yet unconfirmed games on Sky and one on BT/TNT.

I'm sure that Sky did show all games a couple of times before Covid.
However, they probably realised that most of the final games are pretty meaningless, so what's the point in showing them all.

Ahh. I'm just hoping I can get a good signal inside Old Trafford, but I guess if the rain can get through, so can EE.

I would expect our game will be on, because it is them and they don't need much of an excuse to show them.

Villa to be 5-0  up,  Fernandes exhausted and bruised on the floor, Fergie will stand over him, says "get up you son of a bitch cos Fergie loves you...." and the Rat gets to his feet and scores 6  penalties after treading on Konsa's feet.

Or 3-1 Villa

Had a look on a Man U forum, and already seen a couple of posts expressing a desire not to help out Man City, Newcastle, or Chelsea by beating us.

Always have this sense of trepidation going to Ratcliffe's Rat Infested Area, not helped by last season being 2 up & even Dendoncker scoring with a part of his foot he'd unboutedly never used before.

Spurs winning midweek is the lesser of 2 evils.  Neither team deserve CL football nor the cash it brings next year - they'll both spend it on shit whilst one of the current top 7 could use that same cash to build & challenge the Sky Six.  A wounded Yantied should add to the comedy with nothing at all resting on the game for us.

Watch their Onana turn into prime Gordon Banks.  Hojlund turn into prime Rooney.  It's really giving me the willies & I'm getting obsessive in checking the table & forum for updates.

Qualifying for the Europa League isn't a failure (& winnable), but now we've had the taste of CL & the calibre of players we have attracted as a consequence, it has to be our target whilst not in our hands, as Unai has stated on several occasions.
