They were shit, 3 shots, 1 corner, 31% possession and barely touched the ball in our penalty area. Being compact is what shit teams do against good sides.

Is he waving bye-bye to the fans?

??

He stood around looking sad for a while then slowly walked towards the Holte clapping and was basically in tears as he left the pitch.

I would wait until it's official. Could have easily have been that he wanted his dad over for the last home match but couldn't because of Shitty Shoed Spurs wanting to move it.

Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa, speaking to Sky Sports: "We work on set pieces nearly every day. We have a set piece coach in and we worked on that specific corner and it came off. We knew hwe had to score early int he second half and give the fans something to cheer for.

"We knew today was must win. We want to play Champions League football again. We knew Tottenham had a final on Wednesday but we needed to stay focused and win.

"We had a taste of it this season and us as players, it's a competition you want to play in. It's the main goal for us going into the last game.

"Taking it game-by-game really. We had to go to Bournemouth and win then the focus is on today. We'll rest now and focus on United. It's not in our hands as of yet but we'll do all we can."

Well done Villa vital win, if you'd correctly named the 2 goal scorers, you'd have got pretty good odds from the bookies!

He's been immense but the club moves on, with or without him. I hope he stays.

I'll be gutted if he goes, because even though he hasn't had the best of seasons by his own standards, his mere presence on the field probably saves us half a dozen goals a season, such is his influence over the opposition.

He'll be very hard to replace.  If he's in tears I suspect it means they know where he's going, but you'd have to think it's going to be a top European side, and for decent money.

Personally I hope it's just part of him being a bit emotional after a roller-coaster season!

Rogers Watkins Bailey Emi Kamara Torres Mings Digne are all leaving and the loanees all going back to parent clubs.
