Yep. A few early looks at goal from Son and then Cash put him in his pocket.

I doubt anyone predicted those goal scorers but an assist a piece from Watkins and Rogers.

Comfortably on top, could've got 2-3 more and not been flattered by it.

1st half surprised me, however, no worries, Villa quality turned the screw, we now go into a massive Cup Final game next weekend.

Phew - much better in second half.

Special praise to Asensio, Konsa, Torres, and Maatsen who I thought were all excellent.

Haha, they weren't, they were a lot more solid and compact than we expected. We found it hard going for a lot of it.

No one was bad, all played well, but my standouts were:
Maatsen
Asensio
Onana

And props to Konsa and Kamara for the goals of course.

I would throw in Cash and Onana for the second half. Spurs had nothing and it is because Cash stopped Son.

Onana as well, nothing flashy but he bossed the midfield and kept the ball moving really well, he's been superb in the last few weeks.

Cup Final's not at Wembley this year, it's at Old Trafford.

Always hard to break down a team that leave almost everyone at the back. Not sure if Sarr/Bissouma sub (Sarr straight down tunnel injured) or just Emery said, "go for it" but second half it was just a matter of time.
