It states that ST holders are required to use their ST at least 14 times, I take that as you need to attend 14 games, and can exchange or sell back to the club 5 times.

As with most communications that come out of Villa, there is some ambiguity about season ticket usage. My daughter who works in comms and her colleague who deals in football related comms specifically believes it reads as the seat needs to be used 14 out of 19 times either through the season ticket holder attending or through transfer or through re-sale. She doesn't think it's well written, but that it seems to match with other clubs' usage policies.

Whilst not disagreeing with what you colleague and her colleague say, the situation at Man City is different. One of my neighbours shares his ST with his grandson (Normally 10 v 9 per season). This is allowed by the ST being transferred to his grandson for the number of games that he attends. Next season, the primary ST holder has to attend 14 of the 19 PL games to maintain his ST. The only option he has after the club confirming the 14 actual attendance figure is for the ST not being transferred to his grandson for more than 5 PL games.

What would the capacity going up to with this 340 odd seats? 43,100 or something?

They reckon it’s 42,900 at present, so 43,240.

what I am not too keen on is the 14/19 usage. The club and the Prem League has a habit of moving and re-arranging fixtures to suit television/European competitions. Tottenham last month, and Liverpool were just two fixtures that got moved at short notice. We will get the fixtures come out in June and they will be a fiction. The reality is that what will be given is a Friday to Monday window, and I will be paying the privilege equal to my yearly electric bill to move my life around for. I then get penalised next season if i fall ill, have to work, cannot get to the game for some other reason on one of the four designated days.

it is of course designed by the club to push out legacy fans like me, dressed up in a bu**sh*t rabble rousing.

Perhaps the club can guarantee they will not move 14/19 games for whatever reason, or they will give us our 1/19th fee back for that game?

Norden, it's my daughter and her colleague, but I take your point.
The Villa haven't used the language in bold type. So either it's 14 games attended, transferred or resold.
Or their Comms department is poor at conveying meaning.

I assume that both people are adults and they use electronic tickets the same as us, then the grandfather could trust the grandson with his logon details. Ticket shows for the GF even though GS is going. Obviously won't work if you are sharing with someone you don't trust.

That section definitely says that it’s 14 uses, not attendances by the holder. Those uses are attending, a transfer, or a return for resale (even if it is not resold).

This is fine for everyone including those who fall ill, or travel from distance and can’t get to weird and wonderful KO times.

Interestingly though - they are encouraging you to declare exactly how you use your ticket. So I do wonder whether a more stringent approach might follow? Maybe once they’ve properly tested their waiting list perhaps?

What do you mean? Like 'is it shared?'

The wording is absolutely clear - used 14 times, whether that is your own attendance, sharing the ticket or even listing it back on the ticket exchange.  It may change in future years but the way it's worded there is clearly nothing to worry about this season.

The Left picture is from the OS this morning, the right from the Premier league website.
You can clearly see the difference in the Trinity Upper layout. Looks like there will be a rejig of the blocks (from A1-A8 to A1-A9).

Interesting.  Thought they'd do more than just the upper Trinity.

Is there any deadline for transferring your ticket? Like say you suddenly got ill the morning of the game, is that too late to put the ticket up for sale? My dad has sometimes decided he is too ill too go about two hours before kick off having given it until the last possible minute to see if he feels any better.

Hopefully that means the doug Ellis is left alone. I do think it's possibly unsafe to cram more seats in there but time will tell.

This season was 90 minutes before kick off I think.
