I could see Ollie absolutely feasting against this side. Especially if he chooses to rest some of their first choice defenders again like he did at the weekend.

I wonder though if "first-choice" trying to avoid injury might actually be better for us than fringe players busting a gut to try and make their team for the final.

Obviously, they're all not-very-good, so it shouldn't matter too much.

Fate sees me in hospitality so should anyone see me, please do not address me unless you too are wearing a lanyard....

Remember Friday night against Everton for our first home game back in the PL? This feels like that did, sunny, optimistic, a baying full house and Villa Park at it's finest. The perceived injustice of the move, the continued focus on Spurs by the media as if they are an elite club, the feeling that we should have made a final this season, certainly not them, last home game and a chance to look back on a fine season that could become brilliant again.

I'm glad we are playing first, we can lay down a marker and I believe we will.

4-0

I think it is a game for Bailey to say his farewell as he put in a lively cameo against Palace. Rogers in the centre and McGinn on the left for the forwards, or swap those as Rogers didn't do badly on the left when he first started for us. Rest as we started Saturday if Mings is fit, as I feel he won't be at Villa come August so again, a farewell flourish from him keeping Solanke quiet.

Proof if it were ever needed that the reason why Spuds are so crap this season is that their manager's unhinged.

Kulesevski was subbed off the weekend with injury. Unfortunately he might be back for our game but that would put their players into a doubt of trying not to get injured ahead of the final.

Crocodile Dundee has publically said he will be wrapped in cotton wool for the final (along with a few others i would imagine)

I want us to smash the living shit out of this shower of wannabees - how the hell we lost 4-1 to them and last season is beyond me.

One of the many reasons I love Emery, is he virtually never makes excuses. Chancers such as Ange and Arteta, are just that, chancers
