Got to say well done to Torres. I never thought we could last 25 mins with him on the pitch and not concede. A very welcome surprise.

We managed 90 + minutes last week.

I don’t think we’ve limited Bournemouth as much as we did today in previous performances. Great tactical set up. We looked to have purposefully gone with a lot of ball carriers and it worked. They rotational fouled Ramsey who I thought was very unlucky to be sent off. I wonder if the ref forgot he’d already booked him That melee in the first half was because of a quite nasty foul on Ramsey. Martinez got booked for being Martinez. I think the ref forgot he was our captain at that point and was entitled to talk to the ref.

Cash was great today. Ollie looked over the moon about becoming our record premier league scorer and I was glad for him. Midfield was awesome. Strange one on Mings if he wasn’t injured.

My thoughts exactly at the time. Really bad reffing.

Well done Ollie, a tremendous achievement that means we’ll still be talking about him for years to come.

Everyone did their jobs today, starters and subs. Although we were poor in possession, second half especially, we comfortably held them at bay until the sending off changed the dynamic in the final 15 minutes.

Cash maintained his very good form, my MoM. Special mention for Onana’s occasional breakouts from midfield, which were eye-catching.

Next.

Can we appeal a red when it’s a second yellow?

Exhibit a) their boss saying it wasn’t a yellow.

Did we have a shot 2nd half ? We just seemed to sit back and invite pressure .
We won.

We can’t ever let that get in the way of a good moan :-)

I know. Quite amazing. Is that a record? He’s basically gone 125 mins without conceding a goal!! Bravo.

Did you know? You just said you never thought we could go 25 mins with him on the pitch without conceding. Either way, odd to single him out to damn with faint praise after such an important win.

7 wins out of 8 and some people still try and find negativity. It's weird as fuck.

Stop avoiding the stats. Your live affair with Pau really blindsides you

I’m not avoiding the stats am I - if you keep a clean sheet in a game that means you don’t concede a goal. It doesn’t get much more simple than that. Anyhow as PWS highlights, weird to seek out negativity (in error) in such an important win.

In the circumstance, this was the best result of the season.
