We didn't appoint those managers to win things though. We have appointed Emery to eventually win things...I assume so yes he needs to be judged on these type of games.

I think most forgave him Olympiakos last season as we were running on empty with a weak squad and priority was CL.

Now CL is out of our hands even if we win our last four and today we've got effective players for this type of game just warming the bench.

Complete pee take he's put on Bailey who's been out for weeks ahead of Malen aswell.

We're at our best when really going at teams, and yet we rarely seem to do it.

We only do it at Villa Park. And yet almost every away game we become this limp dick of a side rarely coming close to that form. We all love Unai but that’s entirely on him and how he almost sets us up to be subservient.

64 minutes already. This match has completely passed us by. One scramble from a corner is all we have offered.

2-0 is the most dangerous lead. Half an hour to go.

Less than 25 minutes left and we're aimlessly tossing about in midfield.

Not sure how Unai thinks this is going to change any time soon?

No. There’s no excuse. We battered Newcastle after PSG. This is just us away from Villa Park. It’s not good enough.

Toll of playing Torres twice in important matches.

Exactly. And no one is saying that Emery is a bad manager, but to say he has been horrible these last two games is demonstrably true to this point.
