I have just finished a hearty breakfast of fried eggs, sausages and beans. I feel very good, nothing can go wrong.

Tea and toast too?

We just have to hope that there isn't a Palace fan who too has discovered breakfast.

Especially if it's one with rashers and black pudding. That would definitely give them the upper hand.

A nice shortish trip for me from Westminster. Beats the fortnightly trip up to Birmingham for home games. A great occasion, but even greater if we get to the final.

I'm hearing from some Palace fans with a win and draw at VP and a 4-1 win at Selhurst Park, Oliver Glasner has Unai's number, I certainly don't agree with that  and am confident of a Villa win, though I will have a few nerves nearing KO.

My usual route to We,Bluey from the south goes through Croydon so will be busier than usual.

That's the autocorrect kicking in from spending too much time on SHA.

The Football Focus pre-match interview is with Adam Wharton of Palace. A good omen for us.

So how does Emery outwit Glasner, Because so far hes had the upper hand?

It's definitely not matching them up like for like.

They will try and go man to man with us (like Newcastle did the other week).  The games we've lost against both teams over the past couple of seasons has been down to us losing the duels that are critical in a game where its's man to man.

Jane and Amf’s return coach cancelled and three trains from Euston to Brum after the match cancelled too. What a shitshow.

The last couple of league results against them are giving their fans a false sense of security. The 5-1 was the only game under Emery where we simply didn't turn up because we had just qualified for the CL. The 4-1 there earlier this season was also due to difficult circumstances. We didn't have several of our defenders and started with a back 3 of Bogarde, Konsa and Disasi. Today is different. Unai has a full strength squad to pick from and the strongest bench in our history. We need to put these fukkers in their place. We are doing this today. 3-1 to the mighty Villa.
