but sometimes it's better just to leave it alone.

Good advice, you should try it some time.

Another one down to Emery.

Certainly get the impression its not a happy camp at the moment.  Watkins was pretty blunt after Saturday about not starting against PSG.  Emery seems to be pissing off a few of these players at the moment.
Yep QFs of the champions league, SFs of the FA Cup, still with a chance of qualifying for champions league for the second year in a row. These players have never had it so bad.

JFC, whats wrong with some people.
I think we should fuck him off I'm sick only making QF & SF in Europe only making top 5 and a possible FA cup win. Tony Mowbray is available.
Why not accept that sometimes he is not perfect?
It’s not a personal attack against you when people question the manager’s decisions.
Why were you not on here on Saturday saying another one down to Emery?
I was

Am sure that’s not the case at all.

Watkins was playing at a different level vs Barcodes. There was absolutely no reason to drop him for this match other than his post-match comments. I like Rashford and I'm glad he's here but I never want to see him starting as our main forward for big matches.

Bringing him on for 13 minutes was utterly pointless. At least give more like 30 ish minutes like the Saints match.

Indeed. I fucking love Emery, but he had a bad night...just as players can. You could see it happening in real time too.

Top 5 gone i think now.  Ludicrous given how poor we are in defence that Emery decides to be clever and try and nick a point.  Even if we win every game now it almost certainly won't be enough.  Dreadful mentality from manager to players tonight.

If we win all 4 we will get 5th. It’s definitely doable and maybe having to go out and win suits us. Why anyone would give up now is beyond me.

I haven't given up, but statistically we've just put ourselves back an absolute mile. We need to win all four and 69 points could quite easily not be enough.

69 = Man City two wins and two draws from four, Forest three wins from five, Newcastle three wins and a draw from five and Chelsea  four wins and a loss from five. Only three of those need to happen and we are done even if we max out. If we don't max out increase the headroom accordingly. Odds are now long...hence why I'm still raging at whatever the fuck that was.

Chelsea have to play Liverpool, Newcastle and Forest.

We don’t defend anywhere near as well without Mings. Desasi is a 4th choice centre back - surely Unai gets this now.

Konsa is not the same quality without Mings next to him, organising him. Torres and Konsa have a habit of disappearing when crosses come in.

Torres literally stepped over the winner tonight. You just know Mings would have thrown himself at it and risked an own goal.

Disappointing night against a Citeh team there for the taking minus Haaland. Well on top early on until Martinez literally threw in one. Settled ourselves well to get the penalty. But never showed up second half. Always horrible to lose at the death but it was deserved sadly. Really pissed off with our midfield two who let an average player like Kovacic outplay them. Ridiculous decision from Emery to replace Cash and Ramsey when he did and leave Rogers on. Everything went right for him at the weekend but not tonight.

Martinez 5 - awful error for their goal and I thought he hid on his line for a while afterwards
Cash 5 - far too narrow for their first goal but recovered a bit
Konsa 6 - don't remember too much of him which is probably positive
Torres 4 - gutless at end for the goal.
Digne 5 - flat tonight I thought and would have hooked him early in second half
Rogers 4 - positive start but yet again struggled in the position. That's on Emery, fortunate to last as long as he did to put it mildly
Kamara 4 - similar to PSG he seemed overawed a bit tonight. Poor on ball and no screen in front of our centre backs
Onana 4 - no idea what this guy is meant to bring. Hardly a kick first 30 mins
Tielemans 8 - our best player by a mile starting with pass to Rashford in first minute
Ramsey 7 - razor sharp early on and won the penalty. Crazy decision to replace him so early
Rashford 7 - hit post in first 10 seconds. Mixed enough maybe but little support. Worked hard to be fair

Emery 4 - not many complaints with starting line up but no impact from the bench tonight, I actually thought Disasi was doing ok when Doku came in to block him, until he got roasted at the end. That put the tin hat on it for us.

Unai has these games in him occasionally, as brilliant as he is. He played the reputation not the team - the way to deal with Citeh is to challenge them. We let them play and just made weird decisions. Disasi is a terrible right back and we’re not a good enough defensive team to sit back. Also Rogers was booked and completely out of the game, but stayed on. We basically got pretty much everything wrong and essentially have to win every game for the remainder of the season.

Scoreboard analysis then? We were outplayed on pitch and sideline tonight by a very average Citeh team.

Disappointing to concede so late after it seemed we had got a point sewn up.  Gave the ball away far too often and Disasi's defending was awful for their 2nd goal.

I do accept that he's not perfect. Nobody's perfect. I just can't stand the way people throw their toys everywhere just because something goes wrong. They sound like entitled Arsenal fans and we all love to have a good laugh at their forums.

I don't think we were outplayed. Other than than their goals what did they do? 1-1 all over it if Disasi wasn't a twat.

They do but we need to overtake two teams not one and we’re not overtaking Citeh with their fixtures.
