I enjoyed that, great game of football and Ollie so unlucky not to have a hatrick.

Other than the scoreline think we have been very creative - they are dangerous though.

They are dangerous but nowhere near as impressive as I was expecting. It's ours to win

Looked like a sending off and a penalty denied from the North Stand.

Wish we would bin the PA guy. He is hopeless!

We have been excellent.

We have played some of our best football of the season and should be 2 or 3 goals to the good. Watkins has lead the line superbly and the Toon are struggling to contain his movement.

I think Rashford's pace will also trouble them, so I see him being introduced on the hour mark to play with Watkins.

My big concerm is that Isaak has been very quiet so far and normally produdes something at some point in a game.

Every time I see Newcastle they get a ridiculous amount of leniency from the referee.

Definite sending off. Not a penalty

We should be ahead, a couple of poor ref/VAR decisions but our defence looks nervy at times.

Asensio off, Rashford left, Rogers at 10 and McGinn on the right. Would like to see Malen at some point too.

It’s a very competitive game, two very good sides. This could go either way.

Rezaa: Can't help but think if Villa had a reliable GK like Allison or Raya, Villa would be higher in the table. For the supposed best GK in the world, Martinez always has a mistake in him, particularly near post

Curious why people think that wasn't a penalty? Newcastle defender put his leg down, missed the ball and clipped Ollie's trailing leg as he was running.

According to Pat Nevin on 5Live, Watkins is instigating contact by dangling his leg towards the defender. It's sneaky.
