With Barkley and Bailey probably available very soon this has to be one of the best squads we've ever had with so many options now.

As usual Brighton moaning we got lucky with the ref. are they kidding?

I'd love one of the xG stat kids to do a dissertation on why we have such a good record home and away v Brighton and dismal one against Palace as there isn't a huge difference between them.

Mentality plays so much of a part in football.

As for the decisions the first big one tonight was for us and it went against us. If that penalty gets given as it should then the first handball dosen't happen.

The Mitoma one was 50/50 as I don't know what part of the arm is the threshold for handball and it certainly hit his upper part. Possibly the second could've been chalked off aswell as Wieffer would've got a block in but guess the contact was judged accidental.

He barely touched the ball for an hour and I think we can see him on the right can't really be any sort of long term option if we want him to continually improve so that is for Unai to work out in pre season if we get Asensio back next year.

Really pleased. Not oft I am confident before an away match v a good team but saw us in recent weeks and saw them and saw us better.

Saturday - yeah Saturday is a different challenge. For us. And Them.

I mentioned pre-match that I was surprised on Suttons prediction of 2-1 to them because "we are open and will allow Brighton to play". I was sure it would be the other way around as we have players who can take chances and Brighton are open AND slow at the back. Granted I wasn't sure we would have a clean sheet with Torres instead of Mings but fair play for that bonus.

I would state Brighton nominally play with possession and try to break the other team down with crisp passing, whilst Palace are doing what we did against Brighton and play defensively and hit on the break with pace with long passes.

The strength in depth is embarrassingly good. Great time for o go on a roll. Wonderful win. Clean sheet is also really pleasing.

Glad it didn’t matter but watching our non-pen back. That was an astonishingly bad decision.

First - is a bit of a hopeful punt really. Second - Cash is the one that really makes that goal, even the pass to Asensio was bobbling all over the place. Credit to the kid, the stats at the end of the season wont lie but not sure he has ever played well for us in that position.

Hopeful punt = perfect ball over the top for Rashford. Ahead of the defenders but not close enough for the keeper to come out for. Rashford touches it once (barely) and clips it in.
