Is Olsen the worst keeper the Villa have ever had? I'm 55, and can't think of another who was worse. Nylan was bad, but he redeemed himself with his sneaky little manoeuvre v Sheff United.

I stand to be corrected, by some older supporters.

Bunn(y) and Kalinic were worse. Nyland was dreadful too.

Kiraly.

Agreed. Nyland will always have one game where he turned into prime Lev Yashin though.

Much the better team but lacking a bit in the final third. Couple of judicious subs by Unai and we’ll win this. Onwards….

Rogers,  Bailey, Ramsey.  Not one of them good enough
Ramsey's doing ok

Defo, been decent. Rogers and Bailey have been brutal. Defence has settled after an awful start. Tielemans has been very good.

I thought we did alright.

Yup, far better than our usual post-Champions League fare.

Surely Bailey off at half time. He continues to be awful. Infact him giving the ball away cheaply is Brentford's best attacking option. I hope Digne has a real go at him for taking that free kick.

Rogers has had another really poor half. Watkins barely involved.

Why on earth would we put Bailey on that free kick? Madness.

Rogers is extremely careless with possession. The only time he made a successful pass was the one at the very end of the half and even that was more of a lay off.

Tuesday was exactly the same but he got away with that terrible performance because of the uncredited own goal assist.

Gollini had some real shockers in our first season down.  Think he was a Di Matteo favourite.

Rogers has said multiple times that Unai encourages him to try things, it seems like he's the one player given a bit of freedom to try the risky pass - it's just not working today.  Shame we don't have Asensio to come on take that place off the forwards.
