No idea why Martinez and Asensio are out, and you have to question Disasi over Garcia at right back.

Very defensive bench
Only 2 forwards

Another of Unai's left field selections that doesn't come off?

Not hopeful.

I'm starting to find some of these premier league team selections a bit odd tbh.

Rashford surely by now is capable of starting two games in four days? Holding him back v Palace didn't work at all. He should be starting this today given Brentford play a high line at home.

Also can anyone explain this. We signed Garcia and started him v Wolves, Ipswich and Liverpool. Aside from the gift for Liverpool first goal he did o.k in those games. Cash just played in the week and Disasi looked alright centrally.

Why are we now playing Disasi at RB?! I get Konsa as he's had two and a half years of playing in Emery's system but we should be keeping Disasi central surely.

I find it difficult for people bringing up the fatigue excuse when we're not even interested in starting the two players excluded from our CL squad four days after in the prem.

I hope we win but that 11 dosen't look convincing and no good bringing on Rashford and Kamara if we're losing 2-1 as it didn't work at Palace so I get the feeling Unai's thread will be busy after this game as I think he's trying to be way too clever with these prem selections and it simply isn't working away from home.

We do have actual right fit backs at the club, don’t we ??

Feel bad for Olsen. We don't do him any favours with the defense we put in front of him. Might give this one a miss.

Emery's line-up choices are increasingly whack.

It’s utterly bizarre if we’re literally playing our 4th most capable right back at right back when the other three are available.

So the reserves are getting a runout in a mundane League game....understandable.

We seemed to be worried about their physicality. Given that, I can't see why you wouldn't start Kamara, unless he's still not fully fit.

You can't have too many fullbacks on the bench.

Still seems odd to have Disasi at right back.

This has all the omens of a bad one, hope it doesn’t end up that way.
