We’re miles better than them. Our defence and lack of defensive midfield is telling.

SJM playing well, Mings looks decent. Keep it at 1:1 and we can do the job at home

Great start, regressed as the half went on and then picked up a bit at the end of the half.  We just give the ball away so cheaply at times.

Really need Morgan to step up. It seems Bailey and Rashford can be dangerous whenever they want..

Brugge aren't great in possession. They need a ball over the top into space or a quick counter to create a chance.

Too defensive and too conservative again.  They’re there to be done over and we’re doing that ‘control’ thing again.  Just fucking go for it!

Started great, they came back in but we finished the half on the up. Bailey made 1 goal, but cost us the equaliser. Watkins has been quiet..

Watkins and Rogers have been awful keeping possession.

Ball bouncing off them, Rashford been awful too. Solid spell of possession before half time, should settle us a bit.

Pedestrian football once again. All very tedious and ineffective.

Ok half. Battling ok but struggling to create anything.

They are a decent side. Solid defensively

They will be hard to break down at villa park so its votal we dont lose this

Do away goals matter anymore?  Not that we'll keep a clean sheet in the 2nd leg I suppose... although haven't we had the same number of home clean sheets in the Champs League as we have in the prem?

Very passive again. Lacking energy and making plenty of passing errors. It feels like we are playing with the handbrake on. It hasn't worked previously. Really feel we can get after them. Another first shot goal conceded. It is absolutely criminal how we keep doing this. Up the tempo Villa...

I don't think we were "miles better" than them. If anything they shaded it for me. Brilliant save off Emi to keep it level. These are dangerous and very determined. We just need to get Ollie/Rashford on the ball more. And Ollie needs to put his boots on the right feet. Some of his passing has been very poor.

Feels like we've got another goal in us if we up it, but also feels like we've got a clanger in us at the back. Draw would be OK, they're no mugs.
