Only the Real Thing - new Villa book
« on: March 04, 2025, 11:59:54 AM »
There’s a new book out covering the 94-96 cup wins although in essence it covers pretty much 1992-93 up to 95-96 and for anyone like me whose most fondly remembered
Villa era was the early 90s this is a must read. I’m enjoying it even more than the Nobody Remembers Second book and that was pretty good too. Highly recommended.

Good to see the 90s getting long overdue coverage. Surely a matter of time before the 2000s get a review just to cover the end of Ellis era and then the ridiculous optimism of Lerner/O'Neill.

Guillem Balague also just finished a book on Emery's time here so far, will be out in September I think.

Gregg Evans has one due out too.

Richard Sydenham released a book last year about the two 2nd place finishes but for me it wasn’t as good as the book in the thread title.
