I would break the bank for Bowen as he would be fantastic on our right side. Works like a terrier and has plenty of goals.

Alleged that his old man is Villa fan.

He might be shit scared of Danny Dyer though to leave  ;)

Bowen would be fantastic for us, just don’t see it ever happening unfortunately.

Can’t quite think, who was the last established England international we did sign?

Darren Bent was probably no less established than Bowen currently is.

Otherwise I reckon it's an argument about what constitutes "established" while chucking the names Downing, Merson and Stone around.

Bowen is a very good player but not one i'd sign. Too old for the fee and wages we'd be paying.

Heskey was a pretty established England player.

Much to universal dismay.

Bowen is a John Gregory/MON signing.

And unfortunately Paqueta is an Emery signing.

Spot on. A good player but would eat up our entire budget and is unlikely to get better.

Yeah, the value just wouldn't be there (unless relegation = a cut price).

BBC gossip column linked us to Endrick on loan in January.  That'd be fun.

No idea whether he is any good but he arrived at Madrid with plenty of hype.

I think the days of us signing established Internationals on big contracts that ensure zero resale value are pretty much over, unless the PSR rules change anytime soon?  Given how close we are to the wire on the finances, I just don't see us taking that sort of financial risk on any player.

If we can get them cheap, or on a Bosman, then maybe - but paying sufficient money to prise them away from their clubs mid-contract? I don't see it.

Not that universal.

@novaesrocha1

I was excited until I realised it was Prince William taking a break from his Earthshot/COP30 jaunt.
