I don’t think he did, did he? Impression I got was we a similar structure to the Elliott deal and West Ham didn’t want that. He then naturally saw the writing on the wall. Elliott is a far better option for us though and I’m sure he’ll demonstrate that.

Maybe. He still declared his dedication to them when there was speculation about us being in for him. Elliott has the potential for being the better bet long-term.

Romano or similar said that if it hadn't been for the furore of social media, Paqueta would have joined Villa. I assume that means the Hammers fans were up in arms about it. Of course he scores in their next game at Forest and blows kisses to the fans. A few weeks later, he's changed his mind again.

He did that silly celebration with his his hand as a phone, like an extra snub at the time. I bet he’d walk barefoot over broken glass to get here now though!

I think that’s timing and optics - he knew the move had gone so thought he better spin it as best he can. I might be wrong, but pretty certain that’s it.

Either way, I hope we don't sign him now.

Well done those West Ham fans….wouldnt want him anywhere near our club…no smoke and all that.  Now Bowen on the other hand I’d be up for signing

I'd rather take Paqueta.

I would break the bank for Bowen as he would be fantastic on our right side. Works like a terrier and has plenty of goals.

Alleged that his old man is Villa fan.

He might be shit scared of Danny Dyer though to leave  ;)

West Ham fans all seem to say that Paqueta is only good when playing on the left side of midfield.

Can probably influence the game more from there…

He’s looked really poor in the last two games and Bowen hasn’t looked much better. They are really struggling as a team. It’s not happening at all for Nuno.

Benni's back as a free agent. Smirker & Sexual brokered the deal, promising him game time ahead of Watkins.

FFS, thought we’d finally signed McCarthy till I saw the picture.
