It’s an are study in that the rules forced us to sell a lot, and reduce wages substantially before we can buy. And when we bought we would still need to keep within the rules. If we didn’t have the room to buy we couldn’t and every club and agent knew that.

Right, but the rules haven’t come from nowhere. We may not have known what our specific punishment would be (I don’t know how bespoke or set they are) but we knew were off base. Now it may have all gone to plan and we’re where we want to be, but it doesn’t feel like that. It feels very all of over the place. I get it likely isn’t easy, but it has not been handled well. Proof being how much weaker we look and how bad morale appears to be.

Stupid suggestion to think we should be going after Ederson at City. Available for £10mil. High wages probably, which fucks us over.

Yup. Roma fans did warn us, and wasn't his second spell at Sevilla a bit of a shit show? Vague recollection, I don't know owt about it, though.

Hard to tell with Sevilla, as they were busy being inventively shit in every other department as well.

But mainly because they'd built a mediocre, aging squad, for high transfer fees and with high wages so when they needed to sell, they were left to sell the few younger, promising players that they'd rather have kept.

All of which was down to Monchi.

I’m wearing my yellow tie at work today. And absolutely nothing else. I’m hoping to be sent home on psychiatric grounds.

Why don't we take Anthony whilst we are at it.

Wait until SKY start telling us how the worlds best goal keeper is signing for Utd - they will love it - Neville will tell everyone how EMI is the final piece in the jigsaw and now they are ready to get backi into the champions league places were they rightfully belong

If we’re fuming, I wonder what the owners are doing. They must be scratching their heads.

agreed. We’re just the customers. They’re the serious guys who have been watching their operational leads turn into amateurs.

Heads should roll.

You jest, but at least Anthony has shown he can do it still away from Yanited, Sancho hasn't. This isn't an endorsement.

So we’re getting a defender Man U no longer want, a winger they’ve been desperate to get rid of and their second choice for a new goalkeeper.

Exciting. Not convinced that makes Monchi worth his salary.

Can add Geertruida to the list of players we have been heavily linked with over recent windows who you can watch this season as he is having a medical for a loan to Sunderland

Not to worry we will have soft as 💩 Lindelof to fill that gap

Lemmens is a really, really good prospect in goal, so not too unhappy with us getting him, although I think United will sign both

Loan with buy option. Why the feck haven't we done that and cover Cash at right back ffs. Sunderland actually have a side that looks compettive with ours now. We are behind square one.
