How depressing is that?

Very, just another long line in our fuck ups as a club this summer. He’ll inevitably score against us in the Europa League too.

Footballing management at this Club have absolutely stuffed it.

But Paul, a few pages back you wrote, “I think it’s a bit of a mad take to say our recruitment hasn’t been up to much - we have an incredibly high hit rate.”

He said "this summer".

He did and he also said it would “be mad to say our recruitment hasn’t been up to much - we have an incredibly high hit rate.”

I fear there might be more and more of us mad people about!

Yup, and it has. The problem is this summer we haven’t actually done anything of use.

That was heinous, he was nearly pulled by his penis.

I didnt realise having your penis pulled was an occupational hazard for footballers. I chose the wrong career

Mainly if Vinnie Jones was around.

That picture is up on the wall in our office at work! It's our daily motivation.

Where do you work?!

In Mansfield, with 2 Forrest fans and a Mansfield town fan.

Really I went to school in Mansfield growing up

Blidworth village, but I live in brum still

 Blidith as the locals say
I didn’t think there was any jobs up there since the pits closed

This all has a feel of 2010 about it when MON resigned and Lerner wouldn't spend and dragged the club to eventual relegation. Our owners now are good people but I hope this realllly doesn't spiral out of control.

Victor Lindelof and Jadon Sancho appear to be where we are at, now...

Things aren't right behind the scenes. And given how fucked we are to the financial rules and threat made by UEFA it wouldn't shock me at all if Monchi/Emery/DV have had to try and force the issue by selling some players. Even if they didn't really want to go. We couldn't go into the season again falling foul of the restictions as the problem we saw this summer would have been mulitplied. So when Mings or SJM come out with they have I think they are speaking to the madness at the club in meeting the UEFA and PSR rules, selling players, reducing wages and trying to add some. I cannot imagine for one second it was fun for anyone. So is it any wonder we look completely dysfunctional right now?

We're taking all the Utd cast offs incl Rashford. We were rumoured months ago to have an interest in Garnacho and we'll probably have a chat with Antony tomorrow.

I am not sure about that at all, that's certainly not the vibe I've got from the two things Mings has come out with in public.

First was the one about 'not knowing the half of it' re Ramsey.

Second was the one tonight about "the players that still want to be here".

I get that it's difficult to manage this sort of thing. It just sounds like we've done a really bad job of attempting to do that.

Agreed

Can’t post exactly everything cause it would expose a couple of relationships I value.

Monchi and his “recruitment” plan was totally dependent on freeing up cash (from sales and wages) to then act

Things happened far far slower than expected. They expected emi and Bailey to be gone by early July!

Since then they’ve scrambled around to try and act still. Which in turn resulted in JJ.

JJ did not want to leave. He was basically forced out by Monchi.

A number of the squad have been pissed about it

Frankly, I don’t want the bloke anywhere near us moving forwards. I’ll take a wager with anyone right now. Either him or Unai won’t be at Villa this time next year

My guess, based on fuck all, is that JJ didn't want to go and others did and are still here.

Fascinating and depressing at the same time.
If it’s as bad as that then he won’t last till next year.
