At the moment I think we do, but Pacqueta could only work as a loan this year. I am still pretty sceptical.

Do we actually have people that can negotiate a good deal?
It’s been the same for 40 years.

So, if he was our player I think we'd expect about £50m for him, so the fee is probably about right. However...

He's no better than Asensio for me, and we have much more important issues.

But if we can't pay the 15 odd mil PSG want but can get away with only paying 7 of Paqueta's now (for example) then it's tough shit. Maybe it's because we are in for another position on top of this one and it's the only way we can get the budget to pull it off. That's what I'm hoping anyway. Either way, Paqueta is a decent player.

I highly doubt it if we’re basically in a space where it’s a loan then purchase.

It basically seems to be whether West Ham will accept loan and then buy, which seems unlikely at the moment.

According to Wikipedia!!

Somebody with a sense of humour.

We don't appear to have 5p, let alone £50m.

My big fear is that we'll do something stupid, just to be seen to be doing something.

Yes I’m failing to understand why that would be good from their perspective.

Paqueta's quality. Not sure his position is the most urgent we need to fill, mind.
He's a creative player, we don't have creativity. People say pace, we have pace, it's just on the bench

He's obviously a very good player. But there'd be no point bringing in him *and* Asensio.

And from a cost perspective him *instead* of Asensio seems really weird.

Can only think if we're going for him and Asensio then maybe Rogers is on the way out.

Doesn't make sense otherwise.

Paqueta will be another one in the £100-150k per week bracket.

Bin off all the younger English players with some value and replace with these mercurial efforts.  That's a sustainable business model fo sho.

What on earth has happened with the RCB?! Were after the French kid who may or may not be going to Palace.

Not going to cut it having Bogarde cover RB and RCB when he's not even that good in either position.

I have a weird feeling Disasi is just going to turn up on loan again at 6.59pm on Monday.

Well it’d make sense - we’re talking about 3rd or 4th choice centre back. At centre back he’s fine, and him arriving creates no issues in terms of the Euro A squad registration.

Yes the squad registration criteria does make him seem logical to keep the wage bill at stable level.

Bournemouth have been linked to Disasi for a few weeks but nothing happened yet.

We can't play the next five months and potentially another 25 games with only Cash, Bogarde and Konsa as the serious options for the right side of defence.

Genuinely no idea on what is happening with Garcia. Injured/out of favour or actually going to get a serious chance. The reality though is he barely featured from April onwards.

£47m is a total piss take.
He was valued at £80m 2 years ago

Would rather have kept JJ.

Paqueta's waistline is a ticking time-bomb.
