🚨 Aston Villa remain in the mix for Nicolas Jackson.

Chelsea hoping Bayern come in with a big offer. Newcastle waiting to see if they get the money for Isaak and us waiting for a loan if neither work out.

Would be delighted to get him, with the caveat it doesn't mean any of our stars are off. Doubt it will happen, I'm resigned to us having our current squad at best.

To be honest - Im struggling to get motivated for this season.  Just seems same old shite that was typified by our last game of last season.

Awful refeering that always goes in favour of the big 6 - us making do due to rules that go in favour for the big 6 - the dreading return of the feeling of being also rans and bottling it.

Im sure if we turn up for a game and you know, do a goal, I might start feeling differently but its just starting to feel like another sliding doors moments has passed

I can't see too many downsides to Jackson coming in. He's only 24, Unai knows him, knows what he's getting, the type of character he is, he'll feel confident of getting more out of him and Jackson likes working under him. What's not to like?

I think Emery could make Jackson into a world class CF.

A lot of money for a Watkins alternative. Hopefully on loan this year, does great, which allows us to sell Watkins next summer.

Somehow it all a balances off financially but we gain a younger striker.

Is Illing Junior good enough to stay this year as a squad player or is he going to be off to the championship again ?

Cost benefit analysis. Spunking what little we have on this hit and miss merchant would end in tears. I'd rather his mate Nkunku who actually knows where the goal is and he'll blow a claret bubble gum every time he scores. How cool is that?

He might play him off the left. But can’t see us getting him.

He wasn’t in the squad on Saturday was he? If not I think he’s off.

Yes on our website the current first team squad is 21 and that includes Illing, Buendia and Barkley.
