I think we need a centre-half, a creative forward, and a pacy forward.

I agree, this is what we need. I have a feeling it will be centre half and forward though. Not a creative one. Actually after typing this, maybe we are after a creative no 10? He’s played Tielemans out of position two games running, maybe he’s just a stop gap?

That would presumably be Asensio, but that’s gone silent.

Weren’t we  meant to be considering Geertruida last season?

I’m going to hang on to this snippet from a recent 1874 podcast interview with Jacob Tanswell who appears reasonably clued in.

Let’s hope he’s right when we look back at things next week.

Yes, he supposedly chose Leipzig over us.

As I’m not on Twitter anymore so I don’t seen any rumours unless posted here so I’m completely out of loop, then saying that I’d say about 95% is bollocks anyway.

I do wonder though if this is why he’s played two games running and persevering as it’s the system he’s trialling not the personnel.

Anyone else a fan of Alex Iwobi? Not that he'd be available at any price we would be allowed to pay, I don't think...

Dunno. Looked awful at Everton but Marco Silva is a good coach and seems to have got a more consistent tune out of him at Fulham.

He’s not garbage, he’s improved a lot. But he’s not what we need, because he’s better more centrally.

Tanswell teasing us.

He's currently in Leeds at some event that he and Bardell couldn't divulge. I think I've watched more Villa podcasts in the last week than ever before. There's so much/too much of the stuff!

He often looks pretty strong on the left, I think

But has done really well at Fulham, who are a better side. Let’s be clear, I don’t think we need him but he’s kicked on as a player. Players do that Tim, they’re not defined by who they are at a particular point. Some improve, some regress, some plateau. He’s in the former category.
