Well yeah, but it also depends what the player wants. The other thing is Chelsea don’t have our issue in terms of revenue vs player sales, they’ve already raked in loads. So they might see a future fee as a more useful option.

Jackson would be an exciting signing.

Whenever I'd watch the match with my mom (RIP 💔) whenever he was on the ball and the commentator said his name I'd go HEEHEE and it would really wind my mom up  ;D

Hopefully we get him. Bit more depth up front.

this made me smile

If we sign Jaydee, I plane to lazily call him JD on here.

Won't that cause some confusion for our Kiwi poster(s)?

I'll just call everyone JD then, to save confusion.

JD should play for Palace.

🚨 The Nicolas Jackson deal will depend on Chelsea lowering their demands for a loan fee — Villa can’t get close to what Chelsea are asking.

🚨 NEW: Al-Ahli have added Amadou Onana to their list of midfield targets — not an easy deal, no approach to Aston Villa yet.

Nope thanks. Unless again it’s a ridiculous offer.

I'd take £60 million next year and blood Hemmings

I know some people don’t see it in Onana, but if he stays fit he can be a really good player. Hopefully Hemmings can do something but it is a huge step.

I just don’t think we can sell another legitimate first teamer unless it is insanely over value. There’s just too little time and we already need to strengthen the squad.

To be fair, I like Onana and i think he’ll be a great player.
