The S*n saying Arsenal are now weighing up a move for Rogers. We want at least £80mil apparently.

As soon as he won the YPOTY, it was certain that these stories would pop up. A night follows day.

Yep. It's just more lazy journalism.

We're not selling Rogers.

You said similar about JJ. I think you’re right about this though. Would be us announcing we’ve completely given up.

It’s in the Sun and apparently Arsenal are weighing up….what drivel.

Yep, he basically represents where the club wants to be. We might well sell him next year, sadly, but we simply cannot now.

£80mil is a joke - you think of some of the toss that gets sold for huge prices and they think £80mil is what we'd take - The Sun is a joke

Saying for definite we will, or won't, sell someone is meaningless as we don't work for the club. I'd be massively disappointed if we did sell Rogers, far more than JJ and even more than Grealish as it would just feel very "what's the point trying to build something any more". That said i'd be very surprised if we did sell him.

Saying we won't sell Rogers conveys my opinion. How relevant that is would likely depend on how close we assume it aligns with the club. Given Unai will play Rogers on one leg, I'd suggest the relevance increases somewhat.

We're not selling Rogers.

Until next summer, when we have to go through all of this again.  We need to get the stadium uplift sorted to help to raise the revenue or sponsor the ground etc.

More likely to be Spurs who have just had the rug pulled from under them on the Eze deal

Spurs won't pay what we would want, ever.

I don't feel one single iota of pity for Newcastle. Wissa is forcing his move from Brentford and the media attitude to that is the same.

I was about to post the same when the BBC Sports page had Wissa £40m bid from Newcastle then followed by the Isak story. I was wondering how the Newcastle fans were squaring one with the other.

Jackson makes little sense . Not exactly pacey and not exactly clinical .

He’s pretty quick I think - top recorded pace faster than Malen it looks like.

Should know by now VT doesn't actually know much about football or players.

One step forward, two steps back.... EVERY time.

Best manager in decades, best squad in decades, most successful team in decades, yet we are being dismantled by the very rules which are supposedly there to protect the best interests of the football club. If we go through this again next summer, what's the point? It's blatantly there to stop clubs upsetting the status quo, and actually makes it ridiculously easy for the Sky cartel to just pick and choose starlets from the chasing pack, thus derailing any potential threat in the process.

I think there will be a mass exodus of Villa fans (*and fans of clubs in a similar predicament) if this continues for much longer. As supporters, we thrive on hope - What's the point if we don't even have that?
